The Downtown Bathurst held its 2022 AGM and elected its new board of administration
The Downtown Bathurst Revitalization Corporation held its annual general meeting on November 8th at Four Rivers Brewing Co. The local business’ taproom was filled with members of the BIA (business improvement area) and had over 40 owners of downtown businesses and buildings.
The newly hired Downtown Bathurst General Manager Katherine Lanteigne, spoke of recent activities and their details such as the Oktoberfest/Harvest Fest, Trick or Treat on Main street event and the mural project currently being painted by local artist Candice Ostroski. She has also elaborated on a patio program which aims to improve the ambiance of existing patios of restaurants, bars and cafés located in the BIA to help them expand their patio season.
There were also discussions around upcoming activities and projects for the Downtown Bathurst organization such as:
- Downtown shopping night event from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday November 24th
- Downtown Christmas Parade that will take place on Friday December 2nd at 6pm
- Development of a website and Interactive map
- And a social media campaign in the new year
One of the evening’s highlights was the reveal of the organization’s brand new logo. “This new logo features two (2) iconic landmarks that can be found in our Downtown: La Promenade Waterfront’s observation tower and the Old Post Office. Our sea water is also showcased in the logo by the waves which is unique to our Downtown.” Said Sylvain Lagacé, President of Downtown Bathurst.
The new 2022-2023 Downtown Bathurst board members were elected by the BIA members and are as follows:

A budget of $103,241 for year 2023 was also approved by the member of the BIA.
