In 1999, a small Heritage Museum, the first in Bathurst, opened in the lower level of the former City Hall. Today, the Museum is located in the Nepisiguit Centennial Building. By collaborating with other cultural groups the building will house the Museum, an archival repository and a major Multicultural Centre.
The artifacts represent life in our region many years ago; photos, archives, genealogical documents, history of the native aboriginal culture as well as the general life of the people of long ago may be viewed.
The Museum, now in a permanent location, is open daily throughout the summer months and by appointment thereafter (in time it will open on a year round basis). Guest exhibitors are invited to display their collections. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted (receipt on demand). Small souvenir, pins, postcards and books are available for sale.

Four Rivers Brewing Co. is a family-owned and operated 15-barrel brewery. As longtime fans of craft beer, and having experienced the allure of freshly produced ales in our neighbouring communities and provinces, we asked ourselves, “Why not us?" So, in 2017, we set out to make authentic, true-to-style ales right here in our hometown of Bathurst.
The name Four Rivers is one inspired by the Chaleur region's coastal beauty, and much like the rivers that converge in the Bathurst Harbour, our brewery is a place of coming together. There’s no denying that the coast is part of our identity, both as a city and as a brewery.
Join us in the heart of downtown Bathurst and experience our delicious, handcrafted ales in the comfort of our warm and inviting rustic tasting room. Cheers!
